Due to the variable curvature of the stringer and treads, every component is different from one another. Parametric software where used to develop the form and the cut files. The surface below the tread is twisting and resulting in a compound curvature and had to be welded together by 4" incremental pieces. The result warps the reflection and space as you move up the stair, reinforcing a sense of motion and thrust.
